So, you may ask what is this site all about? What is this kid doing? Why is he travelling around Europe? Here are some answers...

I am an American college student, who is entering his final year at a small midwestern liberal arts school, Carleton College. I am double majoring in geology and physics and hope to attend graduate school next year. This past year I proposed a project to the school to learn more about wave energy in Europe.

I have been following the wave energy industry for over 4 years now. I have done multiple projects and papers on an overview of the technologies and the history of the industry. Now, due to the generosity of my college, I get to see these technologies and meet the people behind them. I hope to bring back to the states some of the lessons that these entrepreneurs, scientists and government officials have learned over the past 20 years. As Americans, we can learn a lot from our European counterparts in terms of the way their organize, generate and distribute their electricity.

An Introduction to the Project
